THE LIFE OF ALAN TURING
I will give a brief account of the
life of Alan Turing, who was considered one of the fathers of computer science
and a forerunner of computer science. Alan Turing is a mathematician who
influenced the concepts of algorithms, which is of great importance in the SENA
software analysis and development technology that I am studying.
Alan
Turing, was a mathematician, logician, theoretical computer scientist among
other professions; born on June 23, 1912 in the United Kingdom, I researched
about Alan Turing after watching a movie called "The Enigma Code" where he used
a machine called Enigma to be
able to decipher the communication codes of the Nazis during World War II and
thus be able to anticipate the attacks that the Nazis would carry out.
Thanking Turing's machine, with this
invention he helped the Allied countries in the Second World War to decipher
the codes of the messages of the German soldiers, which were difficult to
decipher due to the complexity of the messages; His machine consisted of a
series of algorithms that could solve any mathematical problem.
This character contributed to the technology
of our era when he did tests with algorithms; Today we can use programming
languages using their method. In the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), a
concept called "Turing test" used in 1950 is used to judge the
intelligence of a machine and differentiate it from a human being.
With this brief account, I highlight
the contribution of the father of computer science, Alan Turing.
